Beware: Wisdom Teeth Photos

Disclaimer: If you did not vote in my last post and do not want to see these pictures, please don't read this post! The teeth have dried blood on them and are not overly pleasant looking. :D

For those of you who DID vote, (thanks Anna and Erin!) here are the pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Here are the four of them! The penny is for a size reference. I couldn't take the shot from straight overhead because of the shadows, so the front ones look bigger.

This one was the biggest. It was wider around at the top than my pinky finger!

This one had a HUGE hole in it, yet it hadn't even broken the surface of my gum, so it seems odd that it would be a cavity! It could have been from the oral surgeon, but I doubt it.

So there you have it, all you curious folks out there! This is what wisdom teeth look like!

I wonder what the tooth fairy would give me for these babies!

I may not have voted, but I really wanted to see pictures of your wisdom teeth because I wasn't able to see pictures of mine. Now I'm satisfied. Besides, if you've been reading for long, you've had to watch me stretch my ears - and that grosses the masses out plenty!

Colorado Craft Beer Week

Matt and I decided to join some of our favorite local breweries yesterday at a craft beer festival to help kick off Colorado Craft Beer Week. It's no secret that craft beer is a huge part of the Colorado economy. Everybody just does it so well out here. It was nice to go to a smaller festival than the Great American Beer Festival where there are too many breweries to even get to every booth. Yesterday's festival felt more like a back yard barbecue. I even got to meet the hosts of the Craft Beer Radio show on AM760. There is a picture of me with Turk and the "Gubna" below. In addition to some good beer sampling, our tickets also included a meal of either beer can chicken roasted for hours on the grill (my choice) or a spicy brat (Matt's choice). Millards meet Mallards

We've had some neighborhood visitors recently. This Mallard duck couple has made our yard its home for about a week now. They showed up right before our camping trip and have been around ever since! We can't find a nest but they seem to like prefer our yard, none the less. Maybe it has something to do with the name? My hope is that they really do have a nest nearby and one day I will wake up to little ducklings wandering around our yard!

June Recap in Photos

June was a busy month around here! I managed to snap a few photos here and there. That's better than I have been doing this month. *I apologize in advance for the spacing of the photos as captions here. Does anyone have any tips for better photo settings in Blogger?? At the very end of May, we drove to Manhattan for my brother's high school graduation. I can't believe he is a college student now!! He will be attending K-State this fall. I guess you could consider us a house divided, except for the fact that I am the only one in my immediate family who ventured out down the road to KU! :) The first weekend of June, Bill and Barbara came out for a visit on their way down to Santa Fe.
